What is Nature?
To me, nature is everything that surrounds us and is everywhere that you look. Anywhere we go, we can find traces of nature, whether in the heart of New York City, or in Montgomery Alabama. Over the past seven years I have traveled all across this continent from the east coast to the west coast and from across Canada to South America. I have observed that Nature changes in each new place you go, but at the same time there is always something strangely familiar about it. The peace it can bring when you just take the time to notice all of the different plants and living creatures that call it home. For me, after every new place that I spent any amount of time in, I would always crave to be home, and in the nature that I grew up in because that gave me more peace than in any place on earth. I have been blessed to have through my family, about 3,200 acres very close to where I live. This is the place I call home and that I crave to be since it is the nature that I have always known, I could spend all day and night here and never cross the same path and could count a hundred different animals. from the birds in the sky to the fish in the creeks. This place never fails to bring me closer to God and to help remind me of who I am. It has also taught me how nature changes over time, due to weather and human interactions, and also how it can conform and keep flourishing through just about any change or challenge that it is being presented with. Im sure that it is different for every one, and that every one has their own place to call home in this way, and I hope that place brings them the same kind of peace that this place brings me. So, what is nature? To me, nature is a sense of home, a sense of being, and a sense of peace from being surrounded by all of the worlds amazing landscapes and living creatures.
